The Fortunes giveth, and the Fortunes taketh away. On the excitement building side, the rules change for the L5R CCG for Emperor Edition were recently announced, followed up with a lot more information on the Emperor Edition packaging – including one “special Premium” card in each core set booster pack, a super-size starter box, clan-specific starter deck fictions, and special starter-deck tokens.

On the lame side of the coin, however, is the news that Emperor Edition has been pushed back two months for a January 2012 release. One potential upside to this delay may be more of a chance for some interesting time jump fiction before we’re fully into Emperor Edition.
