Hack the Planet: Deck Diving 4: Chaos is just a theory

Coming soon

Hello, and welcome to another installment of deck diving. Today we’ll be looking at Shaper’s newest wunderkid, Chaos Theory. Chaos Theory has the advantage of being the smallest deck in the game thus far. She also gains +1 Memory. At 5 she can set up a full rig including the stupid button without having to important any extra ram.

I have constructed this deck to take advantage of the Anarch’s cheap to import and cheap to operate breakers. It runs the risk of finding itself unable to break in places, but it also means you can run every turn on very little money. Likely you can make a run against R&D every turn.

Also, I love Personal Workshop in this deck. being able to load up all of your breakers, and only pull them off the bench when you need them means you are super flexible in how to allocate your money. Just be wary of tags if you’re overloading the benches.

On to the deck.

Deck Created with CardGameDB.com Android: Netrunner Deck Builder
Identity:
Chaos Theory: Wunderkind (Cyber Exodus)
Total Cards: (40)
Event (14)
The Maker’s Eye (Core #36) x2  Late game you likely have a lock on R&D. Maker’s eye means you only have to hit it every other turn to know the Corp won’t be getting any Agenda in hand.
Hmm, no go.
Let’s try this.

Test Run (Cyber Exodus #47) x3 Fetch whichever breaker you need when you need it. Or get a work of art, if you need the cash. Don’t forget it can pilfer the trash if need be.

Sure Gamble (Core #50) x3
Infiltration (Core #49) x3 You do not want to fall for traps.
Diesel (Core #34) x3 With such a small deck Diesel’s card draw is a huge boon.
Hardware (8)
Cyberfeeder (Core #5) x3 ■
The Personal Touch (Core #40) x3 Boosting the Criminal breakers is a big score. This + mimic – o – saurus breaks Archer for 4 bits.
Dinosaurus (Cyber Exodus #48) x2 Ideally you want Yogosaurus, but Mimicosauraus and even Femmosaurus are good.
Program (13)
Femme Fatale (Core #26) x2 ■ Test run out to cheaply bypass something annoying, then drop on your workbench for next time you have an annoyance.
Mimic (Core #11) x2 ■
Yog.0 (Core #14) x2 ■
Snowball (Trace Amount #27) x2
Magnum Opus (Core #44) x3 The Stupid Button. Press early and press often for giant cash flows.
Crypsis (Core #51) x2  A back up/early game go to in case good things get trashed.
Resource (5)
Ice Carver (Core #15) x2 ■■■ Puts most ICE into good range of your breakers.
You’ll be even prouder knowing you made it.

Personal Workshop (Cyber Exodus #49) x3 The economy card of the day. An early workshop should get your economy flowing no problem.

There you go, the Anarch breakers with the Shaper economy and strength boosting. With the smaller deck you should be able to set up your rig fairly quickly, and the cheap cost of breaking means it’s very difficult for the Corp to fully shut you down. The Anarch breakers do have the weakness of not being boostable, so there are ICE to watch for. Femme is there to bypass them. As long as you pay attention to the ICE shelf you shouldn’t have too much problem.
Happy Running!
